THERAPEUTIC THAI MASSAGE

Our techniques come from Master “Ajahn” Suwat, founder of the THARA Massage school (Chiang Mai).
We offer specialized therapeutic treatment for musculoskeletal disorders (musculoskeletal and musculotendinous structures). Each session begins with a quick assessment to identify priority areas and adapt joint mobilizations and myofascial work.
Our goal is efficiency: a short protocol with 3 to 4 sessions on average. Therapeutic Thai massages are not reimbursed by insurance — we prioritize the quality of results over duration.

FAQ - Therapeutic Thai Massage

What is therapeutic Thai massage?

It is a targeted approach to traditional Thai massage. The practitioner uses pressures, stretches, and specific techniques to relieve localized pain, improve mobility, and rebalance the body.

Traditional Thai massage primarily aims for relaxation and energetic harmony. Therapeutic massage, on the other hand, focuses more on specific areas (neck, back, lower back, joints, etc.) to treat imbalances or chronic tension.

It is particularly effective for muscle pain, joint stiffness, backaches, neck tension, muscle-related migraines, and certain pains linked to stress or poor posture.

It is not a medical act, but a complementary manual therapy. It does not replace medical follow-up but can effectively support rehabilitation, treatment, or sports practice.

After a discussion about your needs and any pain, the practitioner adapts their protocol: deep pressures, targeted stretches, work on energy lines (Sen). The session is performed clothed, on a futon.

In addition to physical coaching, Swiss Personal Training offers therapeutic massages to relieve tension, improve flexibility, and promote relaxation. They also place great importance on nutrition, providing advice and support in this area.

Generally between 60 and 120 minutes. For precise therapeutic work, a session of at least 90 minutes is recommended.

Some pressures can be intense, especially on very tense areas. However, the practitioner always adjusts the pressure according to your sensation to remain beneficial and never traumatic.

For a specific issue, one or two sessions may suffice. For chronic pain or postural rebalancing, regular follow-up (every 2 to 3 weeks) is recommended.

A notable reduction in muscle tension, improved joint mobility, a more balanced posture, and a feeling of lightness. The effects are both immediate and cumulative over several sessions.
